Im Fiona, I am a Mum of three and I, like most women have spent hours upon hours dreaming of running my own business doing something I love.
I have spent many years behind the scenes helping my husband run his business and raising our children that I had almost forgot what it felt like to really do something for myself.
Then I discovered, Lashes.
I found my calling. I like to think what I do is more than just eyelash extensions. I help women feel beautiful and boost their confidence and that to me is everything and something I am so proud to be apart of.
My journey started when I undertook a 3 hour course in eyelash extensions and did my first set on a friend. I submitted my pictures to lash forums as I was so proud, only to quickly find out that training was only the very tiny tip of the iceberg and that there was so much more to learn. I knew at that point if I was ever going to make a career out of this I needed to learn more, much more!
So I stalked the lash forums while only very occasionally practicing lashes only on a practice head.
And then I stumbled across Lashia Australia!
A turning point in my lash life, I dove in head first and completed the intensive week long training. Walking out of there with my head high having been trained by elite lasher Mimmi Ebbersten.
Back at home I worked part time in retail during the day and was a Lashia trainee by night.
It wasn’t easy and I was going to bed at midnight most nights.
But it paid off..
I could do it but figured I had nothing to lose by trying.
After about 6 weeks I headed back to Lashia in the Gold Coast for some support to make sure I was on track.
Mimmi invited me to just ‘have a go’ at the exam, I thought there was no way I could do it but figured I had nothing to lose by trying.

Surprisingly I passed, I was shocked! And I was actually so close to the Lashia Master certification too!!!
My head was spinning, I could not believe it!
Some time after being certified, we relocated to the Sunshine Coast and I took a huge leap and opened my own business in a new area with zero clientele.
Frightened, but confident in the skills I was taught.
And now here I am today, some 3 months after opening my shop with a strong client base that’s growing of beautiful women who continually come back to me for their lashes and writing this introduction to you as a Mentor.
I’m amazed at how far I’ve come and having the continued support from Lashia and Mimmi is second to none and has played a huge part in my success.
I hope to be able to represent Lashia well as a mentor for the Sunshine Coast and to be able to guide and support you all on your journey to certification and success.
